Riley Gutzman

Riley Gutzman’s educational and professional journey paints a vivid tableau of dedication and passion. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Texas A&M University, Riley showcased her academic prowess early on. Her pursuit of education didn’t stop there; she furthered her expertise by obtaining a Master’s in Elementary Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. This academic background laid a strong foundation for her subsequent career in public education, where she dedicated 13 years to teaching in the public school system.

In 2005, Riley’s personal life blossomed when she married Kennon Gutzman. Together, they embarked on a rewarding family life with the arrival of their six children, each adding more joy and fulfillment to their lives.

Riley’s career took a significant turn when she decided to follow her lifelong passion for dogs. After years of training her own dogs, she took the bold step of enrolling in the Master Trainer Course at National K9 in Ohio. Her dedication and hard work paid off as she earned the prestigious title of Certified Professional Trainer, a testament to her commitment and skill in dog training.

Together with her husband, Kennon, Riley co-owns K10 Professional Dog Training, LLC. This venture not only signifies a professional achievement but also underscores a personal dream turned into reality, allowing her to fuse her love for education and her passion for canine training. Their business thrives on the principles of care, expertise, and professionalism, making a significant impact in the community by helping others communicate effectively with their pets.

Jason Casbeer

Jason Casbeer, a dedicated and skilled military canine handler, has a rich history in this specialized field, beginning with his education at Angleton High School. After completing high school, Jason chose to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. His commitment and adeptness in the field led him to specialize in the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 5812, focusing on Military Canine Handling, a training he completed at Lackland Air Force Base.

During his five years of active service, Jason was deeply involved in handling and training military canines. His responsibilities were critical and diverse, ranging from explosive detection to narcotics identification, and even human tracking. Post his honorable military service, Jason transitioned into civilian life, where he continues to apply his extensive knowledge and skills in canine handling. Here, he leverages his military training to enrich the capabilities of dogs in various scenarios, ensuring they meet the demands of both household difficulties and provide companionship. About our program

Community Outreach

At our organization, we are deeply committed to contributing positively to our community in Brazoria County whenever we have the opportunity. In pursuit of this commitment, we have established several impactful programs that serve this vital purpose.

One of our key partnerships is with VOW22, a respected local veteran organization. Together, we work to train and provide service animals to our local veterans. The importance of this program lies in its capacity to support veterans who may need a trained companion to assist them with daily tasks or to provide essential emotional or physical support. This initiative not only aids in the rehabilitation process for our veterans but also enhances their quality of life through companionship.

Additionally, we collaborate closely with the Brazoria County SPCA. Our partnership involves offering discounts on services for dogs that have been adopted or rescued, making it easier for new pet owners to afford the care their new companions need. Moreover, we host free training classes every other week at the Lake Jackson SPCA location. These classes are designed to help adopters better understand and care for their pets, ensuring the animals’ well-being and helping them settle into their new homes more smoothly.

Ultimately, our programs and partnerships are crafted with the dual goals of enhancing the lives of our community members and providing necessary support to both veterans and animals in need. By connecting these elements, we strengthen the bonds within Brazoria County, fostering a more compassionate and supportive environment.

K10 did wonders for our wild and high energy blue heeler. Both Riley and Jason are dedicated to training and loving all of their pup clients. We love the new obedient Rose. Great people and highly recommend their services.

Great trainer! So helpful!

Riley was great with my older malamute, Mascha. She was stubborn, hard to walk and more. But after her training, she was like a new dog. Thank you so much!

Love this place

I took my doodle to be potty trained and the people here were great. And she was also perfect when she came home. I had a hard time potty training her and she caught on wonderful with this trying. I will be using k 10 again with my 5 month old stubborn to the none yorkie. In the next month. Can’t wait for her to come back potty trained.

My wife and I took our Golden Retriever to Riley for level 1 and 2 training. He was with her for 30 days and Riley took excellent care of him. It was really hard to be away from our puppy for a month but it was definitely worth it. Riley did an excellent job and taking Otis for walks or to the store is so much better now that he doesn’t pull on the leash and has manners. We are very happy with how the training went and would be happy to recommend K10 to anyone. Thank you for doing such a good job with Otis!

Highly recommend K10 Professional Dog Training for both training and boarding services! Our German shepherd, Mika, struggled with anxiety around other dogs and people and would frequently react aggressively when other dogs were nearby. We sent her to Riley for 45 days for the Off-leash basic obedience package and we couldn't be any happier with the results. It is much easier and more enjoyable taking Mika out in public now that she has structure and obeys our commands!

Would highly recommend K10 for dog training. We have a very high energy out of control german shepherd that we sent to K10 for 30 days. Riley and her husband are very professional and responsive. Our dog is now so well behaved, so much happier, and we were given all the tools and information to continue the training and have the best relationship with our dog. We never second guessed if he was being taken care of well.
